FINANCIAL INSTRUMENTS

А financial instrument is any asset or group of tradable assets. The ability to buy and sell is part of the definition of a financial instrument, and the fact that they can be anonymously traded between people who have never met.

They are usually identical to many other assets, such as shares in the same company, and are in standardized form. Some have income rights, such as bonds, or voting rights in company affairs, such as shares, while others do not.

In addition to conventional financial instruments such as stocks, bonds, commodities and money market instruments, there are derivatives such as futures and options whose value is related to that of the "underlying" instruments from which they are derived, where their name comes from. Commercial papers and loan packages are also financial instruments.

The financial instruments entitle their owners to receive future financial income. Financial instruments can be company ownership (as in equities), a claim for money, borrowed money, interest accrued, or more.
